Antoine et Manuel / antoineetmanuel.com
Antoine Audiau and Manuel Warosz met in art school in Paris. They quickly decided to work together under the name Antoine+Manuel. Since their begining they combine hand drawing and computer illustration with their own typography and photography. They each explore their favourite fields and creative methods, resulting in output which, though diverse, has an obvious unity. Moving from dance to fashion via contemporary art and design, the duo has defined a singular graphic style.
They work for fashion (Christian Lacroix), home (Habitat, Galeries Lafayette, Domestic, BD Ediciones), publishing house, contemporary dance, theatre and art.
“For each project we begin the design process by inventing an entire system of forms, with its own vocabulary and rules. In this phase of conceptualizing, we focus on shape and on the story we want to tell. We always keep in mind that the objects we create are aimed at an audience, and we want to provoke emotions. Since we are our first audience, this emotion has to work on us.”
Their next projects will lead to them to an ever greater involvement in design for the home. -

Waskman / waskman.com/
Try to tell your mother that you work to in a methacrylate bucket for more than fifteen days to confirm the functioning of some wireless Vodafone. Try to tell her, if you will, despite having repeated thousands of times you work with computers, which then can not talk to her by phone and you are caught with one hand on a ladder because you are building the Pavilion in Euskadi Expo Zaragoza which, curiously, have been designed by the study in which you work.
Remember that your boss and colleague is the one guy who met at a party of the Comunist Party with blue hair and a huge glass of wine with coke in one hand. If the example is not enough to see expressions of surprise in front when you ask how you doing or are involved in what now, I explain to colleagues and friends of a lifetime where they come from, you've been walking with Sergio Pazos within a transparent truck much of the spanish geography and you have passed nights of the week sleeping in a bus bunk while he was traveling from Madrid to La Coruña, La Coruña to Bilbao, Bilbao to Barcelona, and so on.
If this is not enough to think that yours is not normal, you may need to recognize that those who saw the fake Diesel with three models that were locked in an alleged hotel room making all kinds of crazy things. Or admit that you do the marketing, advertising, design, any of the variants that can be found in this present 2.0 world. Despite the explanations this work will seem strange, so it is not choice but to be clear and concise, making a brief pause and say, "Mom, I work in
Waskman, or I don't know what the hell I am doing!" -
